Secure deployments · Air-gapped and offline

PrintSlice Pro and Starforge, fully offline.

For military, defense, aerospace and regulated manufacturing: a slicer that needs no account, no cloud and no internet connection, and a printer controller that computes on the machine. Everything runs inside your facility boundary.

Offline data flow: CAD to PrintSlice Pro on an air-gapped workstation, then approved media or an isolated LAN to a Starforge controller with on-board AI

Built for secure facilities

Nothing to connect to. Nothing sent out.

PrintSlice Pro is a desktop application. It does not sign in, it does not talk to a cloud service, and it does not need a network connection to slice. What happens on the workstation stays on the workstation.

01

No account, no cloud, no internet required

Install it and slice. There is no sign-in, no license server to reach and no service the application depends on at run time.

02

All computation on the workstation

Slicing, the thermal model, Refine recommendations and support generation all run locally, on the cores of the machine in front of you.

03

Profiles and materials stored locally

Printer profiles, material classes and operations live in the application's own data folder on the workstation, where your policies apply.

04

No telemetry

The application sends nothing. Crash logs, when they occur, are written to a local file that you decide what to do with.

PrintSlice Pro

The whole engine, on one workstation.

The same engine described on the features page, with its thermal model and Refine stage, runs entirely on the local machine. Printer connectivity is optional and, when used, is a local network connection to the printer host only.

Slicing and thermal analysisToolpaths, the transient heat-transfer model and the seven thermal views are computed locally; no part geometry leaves the workstation.
Refine and supportsRecommendations are re-solved locally as counterfactuals; Contour supports are generated on the workstation.
Profiles and materialsStored in the application's data folder. Ship them between sites as local profile packs.
Printer connectionOptional, and only to a printer host on your own network. Air-gapped sites can export G-code and carry it on approved media instead.
DiagnosticsCrash reports are written to local files and are never transmitted.

Starforge mainboard

Local control, on-board compute, edge AI.

The Starforge controller runs the machine from its own compute module and, with V2, runs AI analysis on an onboard accelerator, so print monitoring and adjustment never depend on a cloud connection. It works on an isolated network or standalone.

On-board computeRaspberry Pi CM5 compute module (quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 at 2.4 GHz) alongside an STM32 Cortex-M7 MCU.
Onboard M.2 AI accelerator (V2)PCIe, full 2280 length, on a dedicated 5 A rail for modules drawing up to 10 W: real-time analysis of print metrics on the machine. The same slot serves NVMe local storage.
Isolated network or standaloneTouch screen at the machine with no network required; web interface, Ethernet and USB for isolated LANs. No onboard Wi-Fi.
Secure boot and encryptionSecure boot supported on the compute module and MCU; AES-256 encryption for data at rest and in transit.
Export-controlled programsITAR/EAR-compatible configurations are available through a consulting services engagement.

Deployment

Install, transfer and update without a connection.

Everything a secure site needs to install and maintain PrintSlice Pro arrives as files you can inspect, approve and carry in.

01

Offline installer

A complete installer for the workstation. Nothing is downloaded during installation or at run time; updates ship the same way, as full installers.

02

Transfer via approved media

Installers, profile packs and exported G-code move on the removable media your facility approves, or across an isolated LAN.

03

Local profile packs

Printer and material profiles are files. Validate them once, then distribute them to every workstation on site.

04

Documented dependencies and notices

The application ships with its open-source notices and a list of the libraries it includes, for your software review.

Licensing

Offline license activation for air-gapped sites.

No internet connection is required to activate or run PrintSlice Pro at a secure site. Talk to us about the option that fits your facility.

01

Offline activation

Activate on the workstation without a network connection: an activation file is exchanged on approved media.

02

Hardware key

A hardware-key license that stays with the seat and needs no connection at all.

03

On-site floating license

A floating license served from a host on your own isolated network, for teams that share seats.

Data stays on site

What leaves the facility: nothing.

Part geometry, process settings, material data, thermal analysis results and print history are all created and kept inside your boundary.

  • Part geometry and toolpaths. sliced and stored on the workstation
  • Profiles, materials and operations. local files under your control
  • Thermal analysis and Refine results. computed locally, kept with the project
  • Print monitoring and AI analysis. on the Starforge controller, on the machine
  • Diagnostics. local files; nothing is transmitted

PrintSlice Pro beta program

Print with the engine before it ships.

The beta program is for engineers and labs printing PEEK, PEKK, PEI and other engineering materials. Members receive early builds as they are cut, talk directly to the engineers who build the slicer, and see their findings shape what gets built next.

What beta members get

01
Early buildsNew engine features and thermal views ahead of each release, delivered as offline installers.
02
Direct engineering contactYour questions and findings go to the people writing the code.
03
Roadmap inputYour parts and materials help decide what we build next.

Places are limited to what the engineering team can support directly. Signing up registers your interest; we confirm each place by email.
